"When They See Us"
March 17, 2020 – New York, York – Late last month legendary rapper and G.O.O.D Music president, Pusha-T announced the launch of his new label, Heir Wave Music Group. He also announced his first signee, Kahri 1K – a twenty-year old up-and-coming rapper from Petersburg, VA. Today, Kahri 1K releases the video for his track “When They See Us” ft. In the clip, shot in Virginia, we get a look inside the harsh realities of his community and where he’s from. Khari raps about violence, “these little n***as die where I’m from and I refuse to be the next one.“ The video concludes with an “old head,” who offers his opinion and advice on the gun epidemic in Petersburg – “These young kid got no morals, no respect, no nothing, I don’t even think they’re scared of guns.”
